Course Duration: 2 weeksUnderstanding Proper Train Operation
The role of the Locomotive Engineers is to ensure the safe transport of people and cargo from points "A" to "B". To accomplish this, they must have in-depth knowledge and understanding of railroad systems and proper train operation and handling procedures.
Orca Railway Systems' Locomotive Engineer Training Program provides students with virtual, hands-on training so they can acquire mastery of proper train handling and fuel conservation practices. Our simulators and software programs provide for real-time in-train force display which enables students to see the draft and buff forces as they would be generated on a real train.
